I have been part of this community for many years, working tirelessly to make it healthier, more sustainable, and more welcoming. I live in East Greenbush, work part-time as a Hospice Chaplain, and have the time to build community.
I know the value of being connected to healthcare, religious communities, the arts, women's issues and diverse neighbors. I am committed to the community and want to find solutions to our problems together.
We cannot win this race without your vote. If you need to vote Absentee at the last minute, call the BOE in Troy. If you have recently moved, talk with a Voting Commissioner at the polls. If you need a ride to the polls, call me.
Incentivize use of renewable energy for County offices, local businesses, and homeowners. Encourage mass transit routes that are convenient, inexpensive and reduce congestion. Encourage renovation of buildings. Make our community more walkable.
Encourage "Block Parties," town festivals, and year-round recreation opportunities. My fondest dream is to build a centrally located recreation center with a pool, theater, art center, day care, athletic fields, walking trails and community gardens.
Provide education and tools to reduce the incidence of tick-borne diseases. Reduce the number of opiate-related deaths, provide treatment for addicted individuals, reduce substance-abuse related crime, and provide support for effected families.
